Gareth prides himself on the quality of his pedagogy and conducts his lessons in a highly professional manner. In addition to holding an enhanced DBS certificate, Gareth has also undergone extensive training in safeguarding; having completed the NSPCC’s Child Protection Awareness in Music course. Gareth also possesses public liability insurance, has dedicated musical instrument insurance cover and has completed an Ofqual approved course in administering First Aid and CPR.

Gareth always tries to accommodate lesson enquiries. However, candidates are not outrightly accepted for lessons. Prospective new students are asked to attend a brief, complimentary face-to-face meeting before any commitment to learning is made.

The purpose of this meeting is to afford Gareth the opportunity to determine if a particular student would be right for his style of teaching. It also allows for the mapping-out of an individualised scheme of work to which possible future lessons would progress.
